1. Nature and Scope of the Service

1.1 VegStyle is an online vegetarian dating and community platform aimed at users who wish to establish contact for the purposes of friendship and romantic relationships and to participate in groups, discussions and forums within the platform. 1.2 The core VegStyle Service is currently provided free of charge and without third‑party advertising. We reserve the right to introduce, in the future, (i) paid premium functionalities and/or (ii) advertising placements. Any such changes shall only occur in compliance with applicable law of the Czech Republic and directly applicable law of the European Union. Your use of any paid premium functionalities shall at all times require your separate and explicit consent, and the relevant conditions shall be set out in updated contractual documentation. 1.3 We do not warrant or guarantee that your use of the Service will result in the finding of a partner, friendship, or any other specific outcome. The Service merely provides a technical platform for communication between users. 1.4 The Service is intended for users who are habitually resident in a Member State of the European Union. By using the Service, you represent that you are located in the EU and that you use the Service in compliance with the laws of your country of residence.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

2.1 Only natural persons who are at least 18 years of age and have full legal capacity may register and use the Service. By registering, you expressly declare that you are at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter into this contract. 2.2 VegStyle is focused on relationships based on a traditional concept of family. The platform is therefore intended exclusively for dating between men and women. By registering, you acknowledge and accept this orientation of the Service. 2.3 In order to use certain functionalities of the Service, you must create a user account. For this purpose, you are obliged to provide accurate, truthful, complete and up‑to‑date information and to update such information without undue delay if it changes. You undertake, in particular, that you will not:

• use a false identity or pseudonym that is misleading as to your person;
• register on behalf of another person; or
• use another person’s account.

2.4 You are obliged to maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and to protect them from misuse by third parties. You are responsible for all activities carried out through your account. In the event that you become aware of, or have reasonable grounds to suspect, any unauthorised use of your login credentials or account, you are obliged to notify us without undue delay via the contact details provided in Article 16. 2.5 Mandatory profile photo for new members 2.5.1 As a newly registered user, you are required to upload a clear and appropriate profile photograph that depicts your own face and is suitable in view of the nature and purpose of the Service. The profile photograph must comply with these Terms, the Community & Conduct Rules in Article 5 and applicable law. 2.5.2 The profile photograph must, in particular, not be misleading as to your identity, must not be pornographic, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, extremist, discriminatory, illegal or otherwise inappropriate, and must not infringe the rights, including privacy and personality rights, of any third parties (e.g. use of photographs of other persons, celebrities or minors). 2.5.3 If you do not upload a compliant profile photograph within twenty‑four (24) hours of completing your registration, your newly created user account may be automatically suspended. In such a case, your profile will not be visible or accessible to other users until an appropriate profile photograph has been uploaded and approved. 2.5.4 If you fail to upload a compliant profile photograph within thirty (30) days from the date of registration, we reserve the right to permanently delete your user account and all associated profile data, in accordance with these Terms and the Privacy Policy. 2.6 Personal nature and non‑transferability of the account User accounts are strictly personal. You are not permitted to sell, assign, lease, lend or otherwise make your account or access credentials available to any third party. You undertake not to share your login details with third parties. Any breach of this obligation may lead to the suspension or termination of your account pursuant to Article 9.

3. Electronic Communication

3.1 By using the website and/or communicating with us electronically, you consent to receiving communications from us in electronic form, in particular via e‑mail, messages within the Service and/or notifications displayed on the website or in the application. 3.2 You acknowledge and agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

4.1 We, or our licensors, hold and retain all intellectual property rights in and to the VegStyle website and Service, including, without limitation, rights in the software, source code, structure and design, texts, graphics, logos, trademarks, service marks, databases and other content, except for content provided by users. 4.2 Unless expressly permitted by applicable law or by our prior written consent, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, publish, display, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, decompile, reverse engineer or otherwise use any part of the website or Service for commercial or public purposes. 4.3 Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as granting any licence or right to use any trademark, logo or other protected sign owned by us or by third parties, except as strictly necessary for your use of the Service in accordance with these Terms.

5. Community & Conduct Rules

By using the Service, you undertake to comply with the following Community & Conduct Rules. Any breach of these rules may result in suspension or termination of your account pursuant to Article 9. 5.1 Respectful behaviour You undertake, in particular, that you will:

• treat other users with respect, courtesy and dignity;
• refrain from any form of harassment, threats, insults, shaming, bullying or stalking;
• refrain from attacking, mocking or otherwise degrading users on the basis of their diet, beliefs, personal choices, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, disability or sexual orientation.

5.2 Truthfulness and appropriateness of content You undertake, in particular, that you will:

• provide accurate and truthful information about yourself and will not impersonate any other person, living or dead;
• not create multiple fake or deceptive accounts;
• not post or disseminate any defamatory, hateful, racist, extremist, illegal or otherwise offensive content.

5.3 Prohibition of pornography, sexual exploitation and escort services You undertake, in particular, that you will:

• not post pornographic, sexually explicit, exploitative or otherwise sexually inappropriate images, texts or other content;
• not request, offer or exchange nude photographs or other explicit material through the Service;
• not use the Service to offer or seek escort services, prostitution, “sugar dating” or any other form of paid companionship or sexual services.

5.4 Prohibition of commercial use, spam and advertising You undertake, in particular, that you will:

• not use VegStyle to promote products, services, websites, referral programmes, multi‑level marketing schemes, or other commercial activities without our prior express written consent;
• not send unsolicited mass messages, spam, chain letters or similar communications.

5.5 Protection of the privacy and personal data of others You undertake, in particular, that you will:

• not publish or otherwise disclose personal data of other users (such as names, addresses, e‑mail addresses, telephone numbers, photographs, social media profiles, payment details, etc.) without their explicit consent;
• treat all messages and contact details obtained via VegStyle as confidential and not disclose them to third parties without a lawful basis.

5.6 Cautious sharing of your own contact and financial details We strongly recommend that you:

• do not publicly share your home address, place of work, financial information, payment card data, passwords or other highly sensitive data with other users, especially in the early stages of communication;
• only provide any such information, if at all, after careful consideration and at your own risk.

5.7 Prohibition of technical misuse You undertake, in particular, that you will:

• not upload or distribute viruses, malware, spyware or other harmful code;
• not attempt to hack, disrupt, manipulate or otherwise interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Service;
• not use automated tools (such as bots, crawlers, scrapers) to collect data from VegStyle without our prior written consent, unless such use is permitted by mandatory law.

5.8 Prohibition of criminal and harmful activities You undertake not to use the Service:

• for the commission of any form of fraud, extortion, blackmail, stalking, grooming of minors, trafficking in human beings, hate crimes or any other criminal or otherwise harmful activities;
• for any activities that would violate applicable laws of the Czech Republic, the laws of your EU Member State of residence, or directly applicable law of the European Union.

We reserve the right to cooperate with competent law‑enforcement and regulatory authorities in the European Union. This may include the preservation and, where required by applicable law, the disclosure of information about user accounts and communications suspected of being connected with criminal offences. 5.9 Blocking and reporting of users Where technically available, you may:

• block other users so that they can no longer contact you via the Service; and
• report profiles, messages or other content that you consider to be in breach of these Terms or applicable law.

We will assess such reports within a reasonable time and may adopt appropriate measures at our discretion, including but not limited to warnings, removal of content, temporary suspension or termination of user accounts. 5.10 Moderation and enforcement We are entitled, but not obliged, to monitor and moderate content and activities on the Service. We may, at any time and at our sole discretion, remove, restrict or modify any content or functionality that we reasonably believe to be in breach of these Terms, applicable law or the spirit and purpose of the VegStyle community.

6. User Content

6.1 You are solely responsible for all content that you upload, post, send or otherwise make available on or through the Service (including, without limitation, profile information, photographs, messages, posts in groups and forums). 6.2 Profile photographs and other images 6.2.1 Profile photographs must clearly depict you as the main subject and must not materially misrepresent your appearance. In particular, you may not use images of other persons, celebrities, fictional characters or AI‑generated images presented as if they were images of yourself. 6.2.2 You may not upload images that include:

• minors;
• third parties who have not granted their consent;
• pornographic, sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate content;
• excessively violent, hateful, racist, extremist or illegal content.

6.2.3 We reserve the right, at any time and in our sole discretion, to refuse, hide or remove any photograph or other user content without prior notice and without being obliged to provide reasons. 6.3 By uploading or otherwise making available any content on or through VegStyle, you grant us a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free licence to store, reproduce, display and process such content solely for the purposes of operating, securing, improving and promoting the Service, for as long as such content remains part of the Service and for a reasonable period thereafter, to the extent permitted by applicable law. 6.4 We are not obliged to monitor or pre‑screen all user content. However, we are entitled to monitor, edit, block or remove content at any time if we reasonably believe that it violates these Terms or applicable law, without prejudice to any other remedies available to us.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

7.1 In connection with the use of the Service, we process personal data of users in the capacity of a controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and relevant national data protection legislation. 7.2 Detailed information on the categories of personal data processed, the purposes and legal bases of processing, data retention periods, recipients of personal data and your rights as a data subject (including, without limitation, the rights under Articles 12–22 GDPR) is contained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form an integral part of these Terms. 7.3 We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk, in accordance with Article 32 GDPR, to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or misuse. You acknowledge, however, that no system can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. By using the Service, you accept this residual risk.

8. Free Nature of the Service and Changes to Features

8.1 The VegStyle Service is currently provided to users free of charge and without advertising. We do not guarantee that this model will remain unchanged in the future. 8.2 We may, at our discretion, modify, limit or expand functionalities of the Service at any time. Where such changes are material, we will inform you in an appropriate manner (e.g. via the website, e‑mail or in‑app notification). 8.3 We may, in the future, introduce paid premium functionalities and/or advertising. Any such changes shall be made in compliance with applicable law, including EU consumer protection law, and the relevant conditions shall be set out in updated contractual documentation. You will only be charged for paid premium functionalities if you have expressly agreed to such charges.

9. Suspension, Inactivity and Termination of Accounts

9.1 We may, at our reasonable discretion, temporarily suspend or permanently terminate your user account and/or your access to the Service, in whole or in part, in particular if we reasonably believe that you have:

• violated these Terms or the Community & Conduct Rules;
• provided false, misleading or incomplete information;
• misused the Service (e.g. harassment, spam, illegal content, use of the platform for escort or similar paid services, criminal activities);
• attempted to damage, disrupt or compromise the security or functioning of the platform;
• failed to upload a mandatory and compliant profile photograph within the time limits specified in Article 2.5.

9.2 Inactivity We are entitled to deactivate or delete user accounts that have been inactive (i.e. no login to the account) for an extended period of time (e.g. twelve (12) consecutive months), provided that the continued storage of the account is not required for legal, security or other legitimate reasons. Where reasonably possible, we will endeavour to notify you in advance at the e‑mail address associated with your account. 9.3 You may delete your user account at any time using the tools available within the Service or by contacting us via the VegStyle Support Center. The deletion of your account does not affect our right to retain certain data for the period necessary to protect our legitimate interests, comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes, as set out in the Privacy Policy. 9.4 Upon termination or deletion of your account, your right to use the Service shall cease. We are not obliged to store or provide you with any content or data associated with your account, except as required by applicable law. 9.5 We reserve the right to discontinue the operation of the Service, in whole or in part, for any reason. In the event of a permanent discontinuation of the Service, we will use reasonable efforts to provide users with adequate prior notice, to the extent practicable.

10. Safety Guidelines for Offline Meetings

10.1 If you decide to meet other users of the Service in person (offline), you do so solely at your own risk and responsibility. We strongly recommend, in particular, that you:

• arrange first meetings in public places and at times with sufficient public presence;
• inform a trusted person of your plans (with whom you are meeting, where and when);
• arrange your own independent transport to and from the meeting;
• do not leave your personal belongings, including drinks, unattended;
• do not disclose unnecessary sensitive information (e.g. exact home address, financial situation) at an early stage.

10.2 We are not a party to any meetings, dates or relationships that arise from the use of the Service and we do not supervise or control such interactions. We are therefore not liable for the conduct of users outside the platform, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

11.1 The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non‑infringement. 11.2 While we may carry out certain checks or moderation, you acknowledge that we generally do not verify the identity of users or the truthfulness or completeness of the information they provide. You are solely responsible for your interactions and communications with other users and for exercising due caution and judgement. 11.3 Nothing on VegStyle constitutes legal, financial, medical or other professional advice. For such advice, you should always consult a qualified professional. 11.4 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage, loss or harm (including, without limitation, loss of profit, loss of data, damage to reputation or other non‑pecuniary damage) arising out of or in connection with:

• your use of, or inability to use, the Service;
• actions or omissions of other users, whether online or offline;
• loss, corruption or unauthorised access to data or content;
• unauthorised access to, or misuse of, your account due to your failure to protect your login credentials.

11.5 Where our liability cannot be excluded under mandatory law, our total aggregate liability towards you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Service and/or these Terms shall be limited to the total amount you have actually paid to us for the use of paid services (if any) during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. 11.6 Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability:

• for death or personal injury caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence;
• for damage caused by our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
• where such limitation or exclusion would be contrary to mandatory provisions of applicable law of the Czech Republic or directly applicable law of the European Union (including mandatory consumer protection rules).

12.1 The website may contain links to third‑party websites, applications or services. Such links are provided solely for your convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, data‑processing practices, terms of use or policies of any third parties. 12.2 Your use of third‑party websites or services is at your own risk and is governed by the terms and conditions and privacy policies of such third parties. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with such terms and policies before using or providing personal data to such third parties.

13. Accessibility

13.1 We endeavour to make the Service reasonably accessible to users, including users with disabilities, in accordance with applicable law. 13.2 If you encounter any accessibility issues, you may contact us using the contact details provided in Article 16 with a detailed description of the problem. If reasonably possible, we will attempt to remedy the issue using standard technical means.

14. Changes to the Terms

14.1 We reserve the right to amend or supplement these Terms at any time, in particular in response to changes in legal regulations, case‑law, market conditions or the functionalities of the Service. 14.2 The date at the beginning of these Terms indicates the date of the latest revision. Any amended Terms shall be published on the website and, where required by applicable law, you will be notified of material changes in an appropriate manner. 14.3 Changes shall take effect on the date specified in the amended Terms. By continuing to use the Service after the effective date of the amended Terms, you agree to be bound by the updated version.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

15.1 These Terms, and any contractual and non‑contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to the application of directly applicable law of the European Union. 15.2 If you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU Member State, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your country of residence shall apply in addition to the law of the Czech Republic, to the extent required by Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I) and other relevant EU rules. 15.3 Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the Service or its use shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Czech Republic. This is without prejudice to mandatory provisions of EU law on jurisdiction and consumer protection (in particular Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012, “Brussels I bis”). 15.4 If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a competent authority, such provision shall be severed and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
